Gordon Food Service reportedly is building a new 342,000-square-foot warehouse in Ajax, Ontario, Canada, that will supplement the company’s distribution needs in the region.
First announced in June 2018, this new state-of-the-art warehouse will be built at the Carruthers Creek Business Park on Ringer Street in Ajax. According to news source DurhamRegion.com, the warehouse will feature automation including product selection, sorting and truck loading details, and it will provide 300 jobs in the logistics and warehousing services sector.
The project was initially slated to open in autumn 2019, but will now open in early 2020.
