• Lineage reveals first Carrier of the Year awards

    Cold chain logistics providers’ inaugural program recognizes key service providers for high-quality service and operational excellence.

    Hirschbach Motor Lines claimed two awards, winning Lineage Logistics' first National and Dedicated Truckload Carrier of the Year honors.

    Lineage Logistics recently revealed the 11 winners of its first Carrier of the Year awards, which acknowledge transportation service providers for their high-quality service, operational excellence, and integral role in helping Lineage meet customer needs.   

    Lineage selected the 2022 winners based on criteria around performance, using quantitative and qualitative data to support the selection process. The recipients of this year’s awards were honored within five categories: National and regional truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), dedicated fleet, owner-operator, and rising star, which is awarded to new carrier partners within Lineage’s transportation network contracted within the last 12 months that delivered exceptional services while meeting a minimum number of loads based on fleet size.

    “We are extremely grateful to partner with such a great network of service providers who go above and beyond to deliver items critical to keep the world fed,” Jim Thomspon, vice president of transportation at Lineage, said in a news release. “This awards program is important to Lineage, as we recognize and value the critical role that each of our carrier partners provide in servicing our customers cold supply chain.

    “We simply could not be the company we are today without the support and hard work of all our carrier partners around the world, and we look forward to continuing to recognize the best of the best each year.”

    The list of 2022 Carrier of the Year award winners includes:

    • Truckload Owner-Operator of the Year: Felipe Escalante
    • Regional TL Carrier of the Year: J.S. Helwig & Son
    • National TL Carrier of the Year: Hirschbach Motor Lines
    • Dedicated TL Carrier of the Year: Hirschbach Motor Lines
    • Regional LTL Carrier of the Year: R.W. Bozel Transfer
    • Rising Star Award: Windy City National Trans.
    • East Region Drayage Carrier of the Year: ATS Intermodal
    • East Region Drayage Owner-Operator of the Year: Brahima Kante
    • West Region Drayage Carrier of the Year: Perez Express
    • West Region Drayage Owner-Operator of the Year: Ciprian Torres
    • Drayage Dedicated Carrier of the Year: Land Transportation
