Food Shippers of America (FSA) and FTR Intel are partnering to deliver a free webinar offering critical insights into the future of the food industry freight market.

The webinar is set for 2 p.m. ET on Oct. 2.

Titled “In It Together: 2026 Economic and Freight Market Outlook for the Food Industry,” this complimentary event will explore how shippers and carriers can navigate turbulent economic conditions, persistent capacity challenges, and shifting equipment availability in the year ahead.

“The food industry is navigating one of the most dynamic transportation environments we’ve seen in years,” FTR CEO Jonathan Starks said in a news release. “Our goal is to provide shippers and carriers with unbiased forecasts and actionable guidance they can take back to their teams—because preparation and insight are critical when the market is this uncertain.”

Key questions the webinar will address include:

  • How has economic uncertainty and tariff turmoil impacted the freight outlook for the food industry?
  • When will freight demand and driver supply reach a sustainable balance?
  • With declining demand for trucks and trailers, how will equipment supply affect overall capacity?

The session will be led by FTR executives Eric Starks, chairman; Avery Vise, vice president of trucking; and Joseph Towers, senior rail analyst; and moderated by Darica Schneider, president of Food Shippers of America.
