Mack Trucks Inc announced that its orders for Class 8 vehicles equipped with EPA 2010-compliant engines, when combined with those of its sister company Volvo Trucks North America, have exceeded the 10,000 mark. Mack MP engines feature the ClearTech selective catalytic reduction system, which delivers near-zero emissions and is certified to EPA 2010 standards without the use of emissions credits.

“This milestone is in line with the fact that we were the first to achieve EPA 2010 certification, we had the trucks in customer hands early and often for testing, and we were ready to go soon enough to start production last fall,” said Kevin Flaherty, senior vice-president–sales and marketing.
