FRAM Filtration recently released a new video detailing the composition and benefits of its new line of Luber-finer Extreme Clean HD premium cabin air filters. Highlighting the technology behind the function of a modern cabin air filter, the video is hosted by John Gaither, director of heavy-duty engineering for FRAM Filtration.
The video is an educational tool that will provide useful information about contaminants constantly assaulting a heavy-duty truck cabin and the protection provided by new technologies used by the Luber-finer Extreme Clean HD filter. While providing insights from Gaither on the construction of the filters, special features, and change intervals, the video also illustrates the airflow patterns in an HD vehicle and dissects the construction of an actual Extreme Clean HD filter.
This filter will provide relief for drivers with allergies and create a barrier that can filter up to 98% of harmful contaminants from entering the cabin. Designed to purify the cabin air of Class 6–8 heavy-duty trucks, the filter offers the dual action of carbon to remove contaminants and Arm & Hammer baking soda to remove nuisance odors.
The filter, which can remove sub-micron and micron-sized particles ranging in size from 5 to 100 microns, protects the cabin occupants from harmful contaminants such as seasonal pollen, bacteria, diesel soot, and ozone.
Designed for 16 truck models, including Freightliner, International, Kenworth, Sterling, Volvo, Western Star, the filter has a replacement time that averages less than 15 minutes on most applications.
