JIM Crawford, chairman of Behrhorst and Crawford, was recognized for his foodservice industry leadership when he was presented the 2016 IFDA Cornerstone Award on October 18 at the IFDA Distribution Solutions Conference.
The award is presented in recognition of exceptional leadership and contributions to the foodservice industry made through engagement with IFDA. Behrhorst and Crawford is the parent company of Staunton Foods in Staunton VA.
Crawford’s work with IFDA includes serving on the IFDA board of directors since 2006, the IFDA Audit Committee beginning in 2008, the IFDA Executive Committee since January 2010, and as IFDA’s treasurer since June 2010.
“Since becoming IFDA’s treasurer, Jim has been a strong, steady steward of our financial resources. He ensures we have the budget and support necessary to deliver against our mission, and that benefits every IFDA member,” said Mark S Allen, IFDA president and CEO.
“Jim is a strong voice for foodservice distribution and has done a remarkable job representing the interests of mid- and small-size distributors. Jim is one of the most insightful people I know,” said Allen. “If I need help thinking through an idea or want perspective on an issue, I seek Jim’s counsel. He has great wisdom, and is generous in sharing it and that has benefited me, and the IFDA membership, greatly over the years.” ♦
