SeaCube Container Leasing earns USTRANSCOM contracts

Feb. 1, 2019
Learn about USTRANSCOM awarding SeaCube contracts for leasing and transportation of intermodal container equipment.

SeaCube Container Leasing International, one of the world’s leading container leasing companies, has been awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed-price contracts for leasing and transportation of intermodal container equipment.

Contracts are in effect from March 1, 2019, to February 29, 2020. Work will be performed at multiple continental US and outside continental US locations. The contracts utilize fiscal 2019 and fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance funding. The US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), Directorate of Acquisition, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, is the contracting entity.

Robert Sappio, SeaCube CEO, said, “We are very proud to be serving our military men and women. Expanding our book of business into adjacent spaces, and doing so in such a way that drives value creation now and in the future, is consistent with our stated strategy. This is a good day for our company and all the men and women at SeaCube who have worked so hard to make this happen.”

SeaCube was one of three leasing companies to be awarded this contract.

With its associated companies, SeaCube acquires, owns, manages and leases containers, essential intermodal equipment used in global containerized cargo trade. It owns and manages both refrigerated and dry shipping containers including generator sets used to power the refrigerated containers when transported over land for prolonged periods of time while en-route to their final destination.

The company has long-term relationships with an extensive group of clients in the intermodal shipping industry and operates worldwide to provide quality equipment and service.

USTRANSCOM is the US Department of Defense provider of full-spectrum global mobility solutions and enabling capabilities to customers in peace and war.
