STEMCO expands wheel end offering for ‘N’ trailer application

Company also unveils two new hub cap venting products, the ESP and ESP Plus

STEMCO has announced several new product offerings, led by the new Trifecta pre-adjusted hub assembly for the “N” trailer spindle application.

This expands the STEMCO portfolio to cover the vast majority of commercial trucking and trailer wheel end applications, the EnPro Industries company says.

Originally launched in 2018, the Trifecta pre-adjusted hub assembly includes six different components that provide an all-in-one wheel end solution, minimizing potential installation errors. With the help of the patented Discover XR seal and the ZipTorq axle fastener, the Trifecta offers easier installation—fewer steps and less force needed—and longer life, giving operators and fleet managers more peace of mind on the roads.

In addition, STEMCO is launching two new hub cap plugs, the ESP and ESP Plus, which are water resistant and waterproof, respectively. These high-quality plugs protect lubricant integrity and help the wheel end avoid water intrusion. Because of the water resistance and improved ventilation, operators can wash the wheels, or drive in high water areas or loading docks without risking compromising the wheel end.

“Our customers need to be able to count on their equipment to provide reliability and safety, and we’re committed to meeting and exceeding that expectation, said Eric Vaillancourt, president of STEMCO. “Thanks to our continued innovation, they can have confidence in these high-quality components that all work together to make the roadways safer.”

The new ESP plug comes standard with the Defender hub cap in the steer axle Trifecta assembly but will also be available to purchase as a stand-alone product.
