• Polar King earns EPA certification

    The newly secured 608 Reclamation Certification helps ensure individuals who work with cooling systems are properly trained to handle refrigerants in an environmentally responsible manner.

    Polar King International’s refrigeration department recently fulfilled the requirements set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for 608 Reclamation Certification, a Clean Air Act program that ensure individuals who work with cooling systems are properly trained to handle refrigerants in an responsible manner.

    “It was an honor to proctor this important course,” Gary Cooper, Polar King service manager, said in a news release. “This certification offers great value to not only the company as a whole but the individual technicians as well. Moreover, this certification reflects Polar King’s unwavering commitment to environmental and safety protection.”

    The class included 11 Polar King employees: Russel Gindelberger, Drew Guise, Gary Kemper, Kolin Lassiter, Matt Rejak, Nate Roof, James David (J.D.) Snyder, Barry Sporrer, Max Tippmann, Noah Tippmann, and Jessica Perfitt.

    This is the second certification the Polar King refrigeration department has earned in the last year, the company said. In August 2022, the department achieved North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification through the Harris Product Group, ensuring all Polar King equipment and services meet criteria for superior brazing.
