TIP Group is continuing its partnership with Sunswap to offer sustainable refrigeration technology to transport operators across the United Kingdom. The company, which provides trailer and truck hire services, is supporting access to Sunswap’s Endurance solar and battery-powered transport refrigeration units through trial and long-term leasing arrangements.

The partnership follows more than a year of UK trials involving the Endurance TRU installed on reefer trailers used by cold chain operators. Operators using the system can trial the equipment in day-to-day operations and receive performance reports before committing to longer-term adoption.

TIP Group reports that the trial program has delivered 100% uptime over the past year, with no unplanned maintenance, failures, or refrigeration downtime. Operators have also reported reduced diesel use and direct refrigeration emissions during use.

The Endurance unit is designed and manufactured in Leatherhead, Surrey, and integrates battery, solar, software, and service into a single system. It produces 1,000 real-time data points, providing visibility into temperature compliance, energy use, and asset performance.
