The Green Truck Assn. (GTA), an affiliate division of NTEA, announced it has formed three new technology councils designed to provide more representation within the organization.
The Sustainable Integration Technology Council will work to advance the integration of, and resolve the technical communications for green technology upfitters.
The Lightweight Materials Technology Council will compile information about the development and usage of lightweight materials in the manufacture, specification, and operation of truck equipment and related accessories. It will bring together work truck professionals, technical experts and government representatives, GTA said.
Finally, the Vehicle Electrification Technology Council will explore potential efficiency and performance benefits for vehicle electrification. It will also provide a mechanism for identifying and promoting useful technologies, the group said.
