TAMPA . Software developer Noregon Systems will soon roll out Version 5.0 of its JPRO Fleet Diagnostics PC-based diagnostic tool. Introducing it here at the 2011 Technology & Maintenance Council annual meeting, the company said the new tool will expand the range of trucks it covers to Class 2-8, compared to just Class 7 and 8 vehicles previously.

Beginning this spring, JPRO Fleet Diagnostics v5.0 will offer diagnostic capabilities for medium-duty platforms with the purchase of OEM specific software modules.

This upgrade will begin with Ford E-series and F-series trucks (model years 2004 and newer), which will be followed by tools for General Motors, Ram Trucks, Hino, Isuzu and the Mercedes Benz-Sprinter trucks.

The company stressed that JPRO v5.0 will continue to provide visibility for on-highway heavy-duty applications of the vehicle’s entire condition through the 2010 model year.

The v5.0 software will also implement an easy-to-use, Internet-based activation and registration process, Noregon noted.
