Advantech has released its latest generation of vehicle-mounted computers-the TREK-775 and TREK-776. According to the company, the computers offer a powerful wireless data link for trucks, forklifts and container crane operations that enablse secure wireless connectivity for supply chain management data processing and for logistics management, warehouse inventory control, distribution accounting, ports and yard freight management.

The TREK-775 and TREK-776 use either an Intel LV Pentium M 1.1 GHz or ULV Celeron M 600 MHz processor and offer a choice of Microsoft Windows XP Embedded, XP and Windows Embedded CE 5.0 operating systems.

Both units have touch-screens and colorful graphics with the TREK-776 providing a high-resolution 12.1-in. XGA (1024 × 768) screen. TREK-775 comes with a 10.4-in. SVGA display readable in all lighting conditions. A daylight readable display is also available for both for viewing in direct sunlight.
