Mitchell 1, a Snap-on Co., has hired Michael D. Padrnos as director of national accounts for its Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG). The company noted that the addition of Padrnos expands CVG’s North American sales team to meet the increasing demands for Mitchell 1’s on-line vehicle repair manuals: Tractor-Trailer.net, Medium-Truck.net and Repair-Connect.net.

Padrnos has previous experience in the commercial vehicle industry, most recently as industry manager – Commercial Vehicles Division, ASA Electronics. Before joining ASA Electronics in 2003, he held sales/account management positions with Grumman Olson Industries and Bergstrom, Inc.

He holds a BS in Business Management from the University of South Dakota and has done graduate studies in marketing and product management at the University of Nebraska.

The Mitchell 1 product family includes a line of integrated software tools designed to maximize repair shop productivity, according to the company. Mitchell 1’s Tractor-Trailer.net is a “one-stop industry standard for heavy-duty repair shop service information,” Mitchell 1 noted. The firm said also that its Medium-Truck.net provides shop owners a solution for servicing vocational trucks.
