A hosted solution for generating the ACE electronic truck manifests soon to be required by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection program has been developed and certified by Kleinschmidt Inc.

Currently still in pilot at Canadian and Mexican border crossings, ACE requires carriers to submit complete manifest information electronically at least one hour before freight arrives at the border. That electronic manifest must include detailed conveyance, equipment, crew and shipment information.

In addition to its hosted ACE service, Kleinschmidt has also certified a similar ACE program over its value-added-network for carriers with EDI capability.
