Offering new support for third-party in-cab displays and handheld devices, version 4.0 of the web-based Xatanet fleet operations optimization tools is designed to provide fleets with streamlined system management, instant notification of critical events, an enhanced view of day-to-day operations performance, increased security and an accelerated return on investment, according to developer Xata.

The new Xatanet release features more than a dozen new features, including: user-configurable Smart Checks to send critical data and performance alerts to key personnel via email, phone or pager; an Exceptions function to track ongoing operational events and identify performance levels outside user-defined limits; Learned Standards to gather and store long-term aggregate data from an entire fleet; and XataScope to allow fleet managers to track, capture and report on vehicle speed data.
