• More speakers added to upcoming Zonar conference

    Annette Sandberg and Steve Keppler are among the speakers that have been added to Zonar’s The Zone 2013 conference lineup. The Zone is scheduled for May 14-16, 2013, at the Grand Hyatt River Walk in San Antonio, TX.

    Sandberg, past Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) administrator and Keppler, executive director at the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA), will be joined by Rob Abbott, vice president of safety policy at the American Trucking Assns. (ATA)

    Michael Martin, executive director at the National Assn. of Pupil Transportation (NAPT),

    Gary Petty, president & CEO at the National Private Truck Council (NPTC), and Tom Moore, senior vice president of education at the National Private Truck Council (NPTC).

    The new speakers added are part of Zonar’s efforts to ensure attendees of The Zone have access to the latest safety information and are up-to-date on recent safety-related chances to federal regulations.

    The Zone will also focus on ways to improve fleet efficiency through technology.

The event features three keynote presentations and 72 breakout learning sessions providing fleet professionals an ideal opportunity to network and gain insider knowledge from industry professionals and leading fleet executives. Session topics include the latest trends in fleet management, impending transportation regulation, operational safety, driver retention, fuel efficiency, management best practices and more.

    The Zone will also feature keynote speakers including motivational business speaker and entertainer, Mike Rayburn, noted business author, David Goldsmith and internationally popular comedian, John Pinette. In addition, attendees will hear best practices from leading fleets representing a variety of industries.
