MacroPoint announced an integration with project44, a provider of web-service API connectivity technology to the freight industry. The new integration enables MacroPoint’s location-specific freight tracking capabilities on project44’s web-service network for less–than-truckload (LTL) shipments, the company announced.
“project44 has invested years of development to create our technological infrastructure and deep network of API connections with carriers and technology providers,” said Wally Ibrahim, CTO and co-founder of project44. “This new integration with MacroPoint makes it possible for our shipper, 3PL and brokerage clients to connect a more robust, single source of end-to-end, granular and actionable shipping data into their IT platforms.”
Used with a driver’s mobile phone, including flip phones, or existing in-cab ELD/GPS devices, MacroPoint said its location monitoring and tracking software gives third parties load status and location visibility on their shipments.
