WorkWave announced the acquisition of GPS Heroes, a GPS and telematics company serving small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).  With the acquisition of GPS Heroes, WorkWave said it expands its customer base, extends its telematics offering and “solidifies its place as the leading end-to-end platform for field service, last mile delivery and mobile workforce companies of all sizes.”

“I am so excited to add Don, his team and his fantastic base of clients to the WorkWave family,” said Chris Sullens, CEO of WorkWave. “While this combination adds scale for WorkWave in telematics, the more exciting part is that we will be able to bring additional value to the GPS Heroes client base quickly, allowing them to benefit from the massive investments we’ve made to develop the leading cloud-based end-to-end field service and last mile delivery platform.”

As part of this transaction, Don Mastrangelo, GPS Heroes founder and CEO, will join the WorkWave team to lead the transition and develop a new, channel-based go-to-market organization to drive growth across the enterprise going forward.  Additionally, WorkWave will retain the entire GPS Heroes team, their Honolulu, HI office and the GPS Heroes brand.

“Our goal over the past 8 years has always been to provide great value with amazing customer support.  We have continually expanded our product offerings to deliver increasing value to our client base,” said Mastrangelo.  “Combining our business with WorkWave’s provides an unparalleled opportunity to take that approach and dramatically accelerate it.  Our clients will now be able to access WorkWave’s unique cloud-based platform that unifies lead management and marketing automation with a fully featured CRM and robust routing, mobile and telematics offerings. I couldn’t be more excited for the future for our clients and our team.”
