Global software provider Blue Tree Systems has established a U.S. business, Blue Tree Systems Inc., to support its network of partners and resellers here. Blue Tree Systems Inc. will provide sales and aftermarket support to U.S. partner and resellers. The company sells the R:Com Fleet Management Solution in the U.S. and throughout Europe.

“The Blue Tree R:Com Fleet Management Solution has proven to be a very reliable and successful choice on approximately 60,000 vehicles worldwide, including over 10,000 vehicles operated by several leading motor carriers in the U.S.,” said Charlie Cahill, CEO of Blue Tree. “These companies have adopted our comprehensive and highly reliable system for its range of unique features designed to maximize fleet efficiency, reduce costs and improve customer service.

“We are bringing a next-generation, competitively priced fleet management system to the North American trucking market,” he continued, “and we expect our outstanding reputation will help us to build rapidly upon our already impressive U.S. client base.”

The R:Com solution offers vehicle tracking, in-cab communication and navigation, fuel monitoring, engine and driver performance monitoring, refrigeration temperature management, automated IFTA fuel tax reporting and driver hours-of-service management.

With R:Com, fleets can effectively manage assets in real-time using the sophisticated reporting engine, the company said. Blue Tree added that onboard communications and driver interface hardware provides advanced electronic HOS functionality with a user-friendly touchscreen. The functionality enables the driver to easily manage their hours, edit non-driving log entries, review and sign their logs, and perform pre-and-post trip inspections.

The vehicle tracking capability displays the current location of any vehicle (or group of vehicles) using the digital map technology and provides detailed tracking history that can include trip, stop and time at location reports. R:Com also has the ability to quickly and easily name and geo-fence thousands of locations.

The Reefer Management solution provides live updates of refrigeration unit settings, operating mode, equipment alarm codes, fuel level and cargo temperatures, and reports temperature out of range conditions and refrigeration unit shut down alarms immediately via email or SMS. R:Com also records detailed temperature data, refrigeration unit settings and operating mode, door events, and arrival and departure times.

The system can connect directly to all Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration unit controllers and download data automatically or on demand, noted Blue Tree.
