A new software solution from Cheetah Software Systems uses ALK Technologies’ CoPilot Live v8 GPS navigation software to help managers manage their fleets more effectively. The solution uses CoPilot Live’s 2D and 3D map guidance displays.

“The CoPilot Live plug-in provides our customers with a truly intelligent solution, allowing them to experience the benefits of the most effective and efficient products for managing and enhancing the safety of their fleets,” said Cheetah’s president & CEO Bobby Darroll.

“Together, Cheetah and ALK Technologies provide customers with access to the exact information they need, when they need it – all updated in real time,” he added.

According to Cheetah, the plug-in solution enables drivers to take advantage of:

  • Text-to-speech technology
  • Driver safety views with clearly identified routes and turn arrows
  • Multi-stop trip planning up to 50 stops
  • Multiple destination-entry options including address, intersection, favorite, recent, points of interest, or pick on a map

The solution leverages Windows Mobile devices to optimize routing, dispatch and customer service, the company said.

Cheetah noted that it provides wireless solutions to automate and optimize delivery route planning, pickup assignment, dispatch, and customer service to the LTL and delivery market all as Software-as-a-Service.
