Registration is online at: www.fleetowner.com/fuel-webcast. The webcast will be presented jointly by the Truckload Carriers Assn and FleetOwner and sponsored by Cadec.
During this interactive session, Osterberg will share the results of Schneider’s own fuel economy program and offer tips for fleets of any size. “A small improvement in MPG performance can translate into big savings,” Osterberg noted, and he has the data to prove it. Osterberg will share the fuel economy results of training drivers in simulators vs. training drivers by conventional methods. He will also talk about the big impact small changes like reducing speed and out-of-route miles can make to the bottom line.
Booth is considered by many in the trucking industry as the fuel economy test expert for his years of work directing real-world fuel economy test runs for Caterpillar and truck OEMs. Retired from Caterpillar, Booth operates his own fleet today and will share his experience and expertise with other fleets and drivers ready to come to terms with the tough realities of high-priced fuel.
“I would go broke if I tried to run my operation the way I did in the past,” Booth said. “You have to be ready to change if you want to survive.” Booth will offer concrete, actionable advice based on his decades of experience about how to take drivers to the next performance level and cut fuel costs.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask both speakers questions following the presentations. In fact, the time for questions will be expanded for this event based upon the popularity of the Q&A session during the first Webcast in the series.
