Schneider National recently surpassed 10 million zero-emission miles with its Freightliner eCascadia fleet, operating nearly 100 battery electric vehicles (BEVs).

Schneider’s driver training and efficiency tools save more than 335,000 gal. of fuel annually, while intermodal options allow one ton of freight to move up to 500 miles on a single gallon of fuel. The BEV fleet has reduced emissions by 33.5 million lb. of CO2, equivalent to removing over 13,000 gasoline-powered cars from the road. Royal Waste Services expands Mack LR Electric fleet with three new zero-emission trucks
Royal Waste Services recently ordered three additional Mack LR Electric refuse trucks, expanding its zero-tailpipe emission fleet in New York. The initial LR Electric deployment collected 600 tons of waste over 500 miles with zero downtime, demonstrating strong reliability and efficiency.
"After seeing positive results with our initial Mack LR Electric, and with the support from the voucher incentive program, adding three more units was a natural next step for our fleet," Michael Angelo Reali, district manager for Royal Waste Services, said. "The move to electric propulsion delivers environmental and community benefits, enhances driver comfort, and provides fuel and maintenance cost savings."
Drivers report reduced fatigue and improved control on stop-and-go routes, while the vehicles maintain 100% uptime. The LR Electric features a 376 kWh battery, twin 448-hp motors, and regenerative braking, making it ideal for urban waste collection. Cummins offers $500 incentive for Ram 2500 and 3500 owners completing Emissions Recall 67A
Cummins recently launched a $500 incentive for owners of eligible 2013–2018 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks who complete Emissions Recall 67A. The first 750 participants who complete the recall by March 31 will receive $1,000, while the $500 incentive remains available afterward.
"Recall 67A is a straightforward software update that helps ensure these engines continue performing the way Ram owners expect," said Jennifer Rager, executive director of pickup business at Cummins.
The update is a fast, no-cost software change that does not affect power, torque, or responsiveness.
