Hendrickson Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems partnered with Mack Trucks to offer Haulmaax EX heavy-duty rubber suspension. The Mack TerraPro and LR cab-over vehicles are now available for purchase with the Haulmaax EX suspension at authorized Mack dealers.

Haulmaax EX is designed for the needs of trucks that operate both on-and off-highway. The suspension’s equalizing beam distributes the load equally between both axles in off-road and uneven terrain conditions and provides 17 inches of diagonal articulation. The innovative design eliminates fixed center bushing pivot points to reduce wheel hop.  An integrated jounce stop provides overload protection to maximize the life of the progressive load springs and bolster springs.  The tire clearance was increased on Haulmaax EX to include packages with 315 tires and 9-inch steel wheels while continuing to meet the SAE standard for tire chain clearance.

“Customers today expect more out of their vocational suspensions. Haulmaax EX works to meet expectations by expanding on the capabilities of the current Haulmaax design. Haulmaax EX is extremely rugged, supporting demanding vocational applications and offering capacities of 40,000 pounds, 46,000 pounds, and now 52,000 pounds, with up to 75,000-pound site rating,” said Ashley Dudding, director of engineering for Hendrickson. “Hendrickson utilized our industry-leading analysis and validation techniques to ensure Haulmaax EX would meet rigorous job-related demands, minimize maintenance requirements, and deliver an advanced, lightweight vocational suspension to the market.”
