A powered trailer dolly designed to move all types of trailers has been introduced by DJ Products, Inc. Dubbed the “TrailerCaddyHeavy-Duty, Chain Drive Extreme,” the new dolly is designed to eliminate the need for semi-tractors or yard trucks to move empty van, lowboy and drop-deck trailers up to 50,000 lbs. in and out of docks and yards.

It can be used indoors as well as outside.

Batteries power a heavy-duty, 36-volt motor to move the compact dolly and operate the hydraulic actuator to lift tongues weighing from 5,000 to 15,000 lbs. The dolly is available with kingpin, ball hitch or pintle hook attachment options. According to the company, which manufactures a complete line of cart and vehicle dollies, the new unit drives slowly and is easy to maneuver and operate.

A video about the product is available on the company’s website.
