Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems recently released an upgraded diagnostic software program and a remote diagnostic unit for improved troubleshooting on antilock braking systems. Both products support the company's EC-60 electronic control unit (ECU) for its ABS-6 standard and premium systems.

Bendix ACOM 3.0 software, which is designed to simplify the troubleshooting process, features a diagnostic trouble-code window that displays system status. According to Kevin Romanchok, electronics product line director, the software has “simple, concise instructions that allow technicians to move quickly and efficiently throughout the troubleshooting process.”

The company's pocket-sized remote diagnostic unit, which plugs into a 9-pin diagnostic connector on the dash, provides system status, as well as the location of a faulty component.
