Production of remanufactured trailer axles is now underway at ArvinMeritor’s Plainfield, IN. plant. At least initially, the reman axles are headed for intermodal applications, according to the company.

ArvinMeritor said it has been remanufacturing axle, brake and other components for over 22 years, including axle differentials, brake shoes, manual transmissions and transfer cases.

The newly launched trailer axles are produced to meet strict, engineering-approved specifications and are supported by the company’s aftermarket and technical field service operations, according to the company.
