BorgWarner Turbo and Emissions Systems has just released the S410G turbocharger for Cat 3406E, 475- to 550-hp. applications. The S410G, the company explained, features extended tip compressor wheel technology for improved airflow and higher-pressure ratios. The replacement model also encompasses the latest in turbine side design, which gives the turbo improved spool characteristics, according to BorgWarner.
The S410G, identified as part number 177148, is a direct replacement turbocharger, requiring no fitment modifications. It is covered by a 12-mo./100,000-mi. service or replacement warranty.
