Auxiliary Power Dynamics (APD), which manufactures the Willis APU, is offering installation and service training to qualified fleets that purchase the device. The training can take place at a fleet's own maintenance shop or at an APD facility.

By having certified technicians on staff, fleets can avoid the warranty issues and other problems that might arise when the units are not properly installed. In addition, being able to install the APUs at on-site maintenance shops will help minimize the costly downtime associated with this procedure, APD points out.

Once their technicians have been trained, fleets will also be certified to install and service Willis APUs for other customers.
