To satisfy the training and technical information needs of its dealer network personnel, Continental Tire North America is rolling out a new online program called "Engage360 Untamed Innovation." This is a heavy-truck tire version of its passenger and light-truck tire training program, which launched in mid-2008.

The heavy- truck tire online program – with modules that include videos, illustrations or downloadable data sheets, as well as a testing materials – allows dealership personnel to learn the basics on construction of Continental premium commercial tires, review product technical information and become certified as a Continental commercial tire specialist, said Amy Spears, the company’s training manager.

“This is a fully interactive training program that allows our tire dealers and their staff to get in-depth training on Continental’s commercial vehicle tires, but at their own pace and convenience,” Spears added. “This knowledge will help them assist their commercial tire customers in making more informed choices and add to their toolbox of tire sales skills.”
