Kenworth’s new T470 is getting a boost in power with a second powerplant option now being offered.

Previously available with a 9-liter Cummins ISL with 345 hp and 1,150 lb.-ft. of torque, a second option, a 9-liter Cummins ISL with 365 hp and 1,250 lb-ft. of torque is now being made available.

The T470 has a gross vehicle rating ranging from a heavy Class 7 vehicle at 33,000 lbs. up to a light Class 8 truck at 68,000 lbs.

Axle ratings range from 12,000 to 22,000 lbs. for front axles, from 21,000 to 26,000 for single rear axles and 40,000 to 46,000 for tandem rear axles.
