Visual indicator added to monitor filter life

May 11, 2012

The Racor Division of Parker Hannifin Corp. has added a visual indicator to monitor filter life.

The new Filter Restriction Indicators are placed in the fuel system on the outlet side of the filter to monitor filter restriction. As restriction increases, the yellow indicator moves toward the red “service” area. The yellow indicator will keep its position until the reset button is pressed, even when the engine is shut down, Racor said. When the filter indicator reaches the red zone, replace the filter and reset the indicator.
