June 19, 2012

Wabco Holdings Inc.recently forged a long-term deal to supply Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA), with its Maxxus air disc brake technology; a product that will be introduced on DTNA’s North American production lines starting July 2012.

Wabco said its Maxxus air disc brakes – based around its Maxx 22 single-piston technology, developed in Europe – help boost stopping power while reducing overall vehicle weight.

“We are proud to supply DTNA with Maxxus air disc brakes … [which] further demonstrates our commitment to North America’s commercial vehicle industry,” said Nikhil Varty, Wabco’s president of the Americas.
