Valspar has introduced its “twist and spray” technology on PlastiKote premium enamels and primers. The new design will be available this fall.
“We are very excited to offer PlastiKote customers this revolutionary aerosol can design for our premium enamels and primers,” said Katie Whiting, product manager, aerosols for Valspar. “We have tested this product on a limited basis with some of our customers and the response we have received has been phenomenal.”
The spray can with twist-and-lock design was awarded the “2012 Product of the Year” in the paint category by Product of the Year USA, the world’s largest consumer-voted program that recognizes innovation in consumer packaged goods. In addition, the “Twist and Spray” aerosol design won the AmeriStar Award in two categories from the Institution of Packaging Professionals, Valspar said.
A large finger pad requires 33% less finger pressure to activate and a patented spray top shields the finger from paint and features a twist and lock design, so there is no separate top to remove or replace after use.
