• RTC names winners of its 9th annual technician rodeo

    SAN ANTONIO, TX. Erick Lincoln with the Rush Truck Center (RTC) facility in Albuquerque, NM, took home top honors in the company’s 2014 technician skills rodeo as grand champion for the heavy-duty division as well as the event’s all-around grand champion – taking home $16,100 in cash and prizes.

    SAN ANTONIO, TX. Erick Lincoln with the Rush Truck Center (RTC) facility in Albuquerque, NM, took home top honors in the company’s 2014 technician skills rodeo as grand champion for the heavy-duty division as well as the event’s all-around grand champion – taking home $16,100 in cash and prizes.

    Justin Euler from RTC’s St. Petersburg, FL, dealership clinching the medium-duty championship, winning $12,100 in cash and prizes, with Jeremy Weifenbach at RTC’s Houston location named grand champion for the parts division – a brand new category this year – also taking home $12,100 in cash and prizes.

    Jason Swann from RTC’s Dallas shop and the 2013 all-around champion snagged the reserve heavy-duty champion slot, taking home $9,350 in cash and prizes, while Dustin Ebert out of RTC’s Phoenix facility garnered the reserve champion slot in the medium-duty category, also winning $9,350 worth of cash and prizes in the process.

    David Zainfeld out of RTC’s Houston location took home the reserve champion trophy for the parts division, winning $7,600 in cash and prizes.

    “It’s the technicians that make this business tick,” noted W. M. “Rusty” Rush (seen above), chairman, CEO, and president of Rush Enterprises – RTC’s parent company – during the rodeo awards banquet. “They make up a third of our workforce and are the heartbeat of our dealerships.”
