2026 FleetOwner 500: Top for-hire tank fleets
Transporting liquid and dry bulk cargo requires specialized equipment, routing, drivers, and more to compete in the bulk hauler market. The top U.S. for-hire bulk carriers saw some shifts over the past year, according to the 2026 FleetOwner 500: For-Hire list, which ranks the largest motor carrier and commercial fleet operations in the U.S.
FleetOwner breaks these fleets down into categories, either by equipment or by the fleet's main cargo type or segment. This media gallery will focus on for-hire tanker fleets that haul liquid and dry bulk goods.
The top five spots on this list are identical to last year’s rankings, while the rest of the Top 10 saw some shifts and new entries:
- Kenan Advantage Group
- CSX/Quality Carriers
- Heniff Transportation Systems
- McCoy Group
- Tankstar USA
- Dana Cos. (up 2 spots from 2025)
- TransWood Carriers (down one spot)
- Groendyke Transport (down one spot)
- Wayne Transports (no change)
- Depot Connect International (new Top 10 entry)
Depot Connect rose more than 100 spots in the overall FO500 to rank No. 160 among all for-hire fleets in 2026.
