2026 FleetOwner 500: Top private construction fleets

Quanta Services, MasTec, and other construction fleets rank among the largest private carriers by registered power units.

Construction fleets support new projects and maintenance for private companies across the U.S. Private construction trucks transport building materials such as lumber, steel, cement, and more. This can also involve transporting and operating heavy-duty equipment such as cranes and tractors. The timeliness of construction fleets is crucial, as delays can affect the completion of construction projects. Construction fleets use dump trucks, flatbed trucks, and cement trucks, among others.

The 2026 FleetOwner 500: Private list ranks the most prominent private carriers in the U.S. by total registered power units.
