The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently issued recall notices for commercial vehicles, including brands from Autocar, Mack, and more.

Autocar Xpeditor models’ automatic emergency braking system may unexpectedly turn off

Autocar is recalling certain 2025-2026 ACX (Xpeditor) vehicles. The automatic emergency braking (AEB) system may unexpectedly turn off when the vehicle turns. The loss of AEB increases the risk of a crash.

This recall potentially affects 239 vehicles. Autocar will update the AEB software. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 18. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACX-2506.

Heil models’ CNG manual cylinder valve may crack and leak

The Heil Company is recalling certain 2023-2025 side loader garbage trucks equipped with certain Agility Fuel Solutions CNG Fuel Systems, using part number 10300466. The manual cylinder valves may develop stress corrosion cracks in the bottom plugged port, causing a leak. A natural gas leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

This recall potentially affects 50 vehicles. Agility will replace the valves. All affected garbage trucks were repaired by August 14, according to NHTSA. Owners may contact Agility's customer service at 844-474-7400 or Heil's customer service at 866-275-4345.

Mack Granite models’ headlights may fail 

Mack Trucks is recalling certain 2024-2025 Granite trucks equipped with LED headlights. The LED headlights may fail. Loss of headlight illumination can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

This recall potentially affects 8,857 vehicles. Dealers will replace the LED headlights. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 2, 2026. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0485.

Volvo VAH models’ passenger seat belt anchor may fail

Volvo Trucks North America is recalling certain 2019-2026 VAH trucks. The passenger seat belt anchor may fail because of inadequate floor reinforcement. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages." A seat belt anchor that fails will not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

This recall potentially affects 242 vehicles. Dealers will install a new weld nut and washer  free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 2, 2026. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks' number for this recall is RVXX2510.

Volvo VN models’ marker lights may fail to illuminate

Volvo Trucks is recalling certain 2025-2026 New VN trucks. The roof center marker lights may fail to illuminate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Marker lights that fail to illuminate can reduce visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

This recall potentially affects 3,124 vehicles. Dealers will replace the center roof marker light. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 2, 2026. Owners may contact Volvo Trucks' customer service at 800-528-6586. Volvo Trucks' number for this recall is RVXX2509.
