Michelin Connected Fleet recently launched Smart Predictive Tire for trailers hauled by Class 7 and 8 fleets. The company, which delivers data-driven fleet management solutions powered by Nextraq, introduced the predictive tire monitoring solution to help fleets proactively manage tire health.
The Smart Predictive Tire system provides real-time pressure and temperature monitoring along with predictive maintenance insights designed to reduce unplanned downtime and operating costs. Michelin’s Smart Leak algorithm detects early signs of tire degradation and alerts fleet managers before issues become critical.
By enabling a proactive approach to maintenance, the solution helps fleets extend tire life, optimize performance, and improve vehicle safety. Proper tire inflation supported by the system can also contribute to reduced fuel consumption and lower tire wear.
The Smart Predictive Tire solution is available as part of Michelin Connected Fleet’s Trailer Premium offer and supports multiple deployment options.
European pilot data shows uptime gains and tire cost reduction for fleets
