Valvoline unveils Premium Blue One Solution Gen 2 engine oil to extend drain intervals and reduce downtime
Key takeaways
- Valvoline’s Gen 2 oil enables up to 100,000-mile drain intervals, helping fleets cut downtime and reduce maintenance frequency.
- Tri-fuel compatibility lets fleets use one oil across diesel, natural gas, and gasoline engines, simplifying inventory.
- Fewer oil changes lower labor, disposal costs, and service interruptions, improving uptime and total cost of ownership.
Valvoline Global Operations revealed at TMC 2026 that its Premium Blue One Solution Gen 2 heavy-duty engine oil is now approved by Cummins to deliver oil drain intervals of up to 100,000 miles.
The company, which develops automotive and industrial solutions, engineered the oil to extend drain intervals by up to 25,000 miles, helping fleets increase uptime, reduce service events, and lower total cost of ownership.
The engine oil is designed for use across diesel, natural gas, and gasoline engines, allowing fleets to standardize lubrication across mixed fleets while reducing the need to stock multiple products. Fewer oil changes can lower labor costs, reduce waste oil disposal fees, and minimize maintenance-related downtime.
“Long-haul 18-wheelers on the highways need to minimize equipment downtime. By delivering up to a 25,000-mile oil drain interval extension, minimizing downtime is what Valvoline Premium Blue One Solution Gen 2 is engineered to do,” said John Walters, Valvoline Global’s VP of heavy-duty. “This isn’t just another marketing claim; it’s proof of Valvoline’s ability to meet the needs of its heavy-duty customers by delivering products that meet their unique needs, like increasing miles per ODI. We never stop improving, so our heavy-duty partners never stop moving.”
