Cummins undergoes marketing leadership changes

Lori Thompson will now serve as a key member of the Cummins Operating Team, Cummins announced.

After 15 years working with customers, sponsoring new products and marketing efforts, Lori Thompson will now serve as a key member of the Cummins Operating Team, Cummins announced. In this new role, Thompsona will lead US diversity initiatives within the company and she will continue to lead the overall marketing function.

“Diversity continues to be an integral value that Cummins stands behind.  Cummins is excited to incorporate Lori’s vast customer experience & knowledge as the Cummins Operating Team makes decisions for the future of the company and its role in the industry,” according to Rich J Freeland, chief operating officer.

According to the company, some of Thompson’s accomplishments during her tenure with Cummins include improving relationships with key OEM customers resulting in significantly increased market share; collaborating with Eaton to launch the SmartAdvantage product and most recently, sponsoring the product development team and marketing campaign for the 2017 Cummins X15.

The leadership for marketing communications will now be the responsibility of Carole Casto, who will continue to lead corporate communications and the global communications strategy.
