• TSE Brakes adds Severe Duty design to more models

    Oct. 29, 2013

TSE Brakes has added its Severe Duty design to its UltraLife and Omnibrake spring brakes.

According to TSE, the Severe Duty design protects the piston rod with an accordion style boot cover made from neoprene-impregnated rubber, which allows fewer outside contaminants for increased durability and longer life.

Severe Duty spring brakes also feature a stainless steel clevis pin to help prevent seizing at the connection between the chamber and slack adjuster. Only two holes per tandem are not plugged, allowing the chamber to drain and breathe while protecting it from outside material.

Severe Duty spring brakes are available in a 2430 and 3030 size in 2.5 in. or 3 in. stroke. They are an OEM quality replacement, the company adds.
