• Schneider sells Specialized Division to Maverick

    Schneider National Inc. has sold its glass transportation business, Specialized Division, to Maverick USA Inc.

    Schneider National Inc. has sold its glass transportation business, Specialized Division, to Maverick USA Inc. The transaction is expected to close by July 31.

    The deal will give Maverick expanded services to include specialized glass transportation while Schneider will reallocate the proceeds to facilitate its strategy to provide transportation and logistics solutions to multinational Fortune 1000 firms.

    Under the agreement, Maverick will acquire the assets of Schneider’s Specialized Division, including 380 tractors, 870 trailers, more than 425 drivers and owner-operators, 80 office and maintenance associates, load-related equipment and dedicated operations, and several facilities throughout the U.S.

    The acquired Maverick Specialized division will continue to operate from its current location in Green Bay, WI. Craig Brown of Schneider Specialized will be gm of Maverick Specialized and will oversee the transition of ownership.
