The lowest-cost route based on current fuel prices can be calculated by any fleet with Internet access using Online Fuel Advice. The new subscription-based ASP (application service provider) has been jointly developed by Rand McNally’s Transportation Data Management subsidiary and Integrated Decision Support Corp. (ISDC).

Developed for smaller fleet operations, the service uses IntelliRoute software to optimize over-the-road fueling based on the origin and destination of any trip. The new service also supports third-party fuel networks, choosing routes based on approved carrier fueling locations.
