ALK Technologies debuted its newest in-vehicle navigation system last month. Dubbed, “CoPilot Truck,” the in-vehicle navigation system merges the routing, mileage and mapping capabilities of PC*Miler with the GPS navigation and street-level route guidance technology of its CoPilot product.

CoPilot Truck offers a number of enhanced capabilities, according to Sean Brown, ALK marketing manager, including dock-to-dock driving instructions provided as a map, as text and audibly; dynamic rerouting within seconds of missing a turn or going out-of-route for any reason; one-click detour assistance; toll-discouraged routing; the ability to integrate contact information and import addresses; more fuel stops and truck stop listings and an ETA feature designed to automatically take rest stops and breaks into consideration.

The new laptop-based CoPilot Truck will be sold directly through the CoPilot Truck web site, www.CoPilotTruck.com. For a limited time, there is a $50 instant rebate with purchase.
