Minorplanet goes with Cingular Wireless

Minorplanet Systems USA Inc. has entered into a wireless agent agreement for GSM service with Cingular Wireless LLC, the nation's second-largest wireless carrier.

"Until now, Minorplanet has been exclusively reselling cellular airtime to its customers," said president & CEO Jana Ahlfinger Bell. "As a GSM wireless agent, the customer relationship is directly with the wireless carrier, and as a result, we can sharply focus on our core competencies support." Minorplanet's agreement with Cingular is effective immediately and will begin in the Minorplanet Los Angeles region.
