Thermo King announced it will hold a Truck Stop Day event at three separate U.S. locations on Nov. 30. The events will take place at Petro Stopping Centers in Kingman, AZ and Fargo, ND, as well as the Flying J truck stop in Dade City, FL.

The company said the event is being held to increase awareness of Thermo King’s new TriPac auxiliary heating/cooling temperature management system through live demonstrations showing how it reduces truck engine idling and conserves diesel fuel, while providing truck drivers with engine preheating, battery charging, truck cab sleeper compartment climate control and electric power.

“It’s important for customers to know all of their options when it comes to idle reduction technology,” explained Doug Lenz, Thermo King director of transport product management. “We want to give drivers the opportunity to experience the TriPac’s technology first hand, and truck stops are the obvious choice.”

Visitors participating in the demonstration will receive coupons worth up to $325 in discounts with the purchase of a TriPac unit. Each location will also have complimentary giveaways.
