    Truckload carrier P.A.M. Transportation Services, Inc. reported second-quarter earnings of $3.65 million, an 81% jump over the $2.02 million profit posted the previous quarter. Operating revenues are at $79.1 million for the quarter, a 1.8% improvement over the previous quarter.

    The company attributes increases in freight rates and cost-saving initiatives in its workers’ compensation and maintenance programs.
