Oshkosh has delivered the first new 6x6 medium tactical vehicle replacement (MTVR) truck to the U.S. Navy. The truck that rolled off the production line this week is the first of a potential 1,000 or more MTVR trucks that will be stationed around the world to support the U.S. Naval Construction Force.

The Navy selected Oshkosh's newest defense truck as the support vehicle for its premier construction battalions, the SeaBees.

“We are proud and pleased that the SeaBees have recognized the quality and performance of the MTVR, making it their support vehicle of choice,” said Robert G. Bohn, Oshkosh's president & CEO.

Bohn said MTVR is the benchmark for modern tactical truck performance because its mobility, rugged design and off-road capability make it perfect for construction-site applications.
