Eaton showcased hot shift PTO, soft start tech, and wet kits at NTEA Work Truck Week 2026
Eaton recently showcased drivetrain and hydraulic innovations at NTEA Work Truck Week 2026, including hot shift power take-off (PTO) solutions, soft start technology, and revamped wet kits. The technologies aim to reduce driveline stress, simplify ordering and installation, and solve real-world challenges for fleets, dealers, and upfitters.
“Across our PTO and wet kit portfolio, the focus is simple: smarter design, easier adoption, and real value for the customer,” Brad Gulick, commercial product manager, Eaton’s Mobility Group, stated. “We’re listening to the market and delivering solutions that improve reliability, reduce complexity, and give fleets capabilities they can’t get anywhere else.”
Eaton’s hot shift PTO soft start reduces shock loads during engagement, protecting driveline and hydraulic components in high-inertia applications. The company also offers a true hot shift PTO for the Endurant automated manual transmission, filling a long-standing market gap. Revised wet kits for Allison and Daimler transmissions simplify specification and installation, while the redesigned 3400 Series PTO improves clearance, quiets operation, and fits in tight chassis configurations. Lindsay launches Road Runner truck-mounted attenuator for improved work zone safety
Lindsay Corporation recently launched the Road Runner Truck-Mounted Attenuator, designed to improve work zone safety and efficiency. The product, built to MASH TL-3 standards from heavy-gauge aluminum, offers durability, fast deployment, and enhanced crew protection.
"Lindsay's Road Runner is a leap forward for our industry," Cole Hansen, Lindsay VP and GM, Infrastructure, stated. "We listened to our customers and engineered a solution that delivers unmatched durability, efficiency, and safety—setting a new benchmark for today's roadways."
The Road Runner deploys and stows in under 30 seconds, stores vertically to free truck bed space, and simplifies hydraulics with a single hinge point. Safety features include no interference with arrow boards, protected taillights, and easy maintenance access. Its open-grid design improves wind resistance and fuel efficiency, and universal mounting allows retrofitting to existing TMA trucks. Read more…
Prinoth unveils Panther T23r crawler carrier with PowerForce undercarriage for heavy hauling
Prinoth recently launched the Panther T23r, the industry’s largest rotating crawler carrier, featuring the new PowerForce undercarriage. The company, which develops crawler carriers, highlighted the machine’s 22.5-short-ton payload, compact dimensions, and 360-degree rotating upper structure for precise material placement in confined spaces.
“Customers are pushing farther into remote, sensitive, and high-consequence environments,” Frank M. Gangi, product manager for the Prinoth Panther, stated. “With the Panther T23r, we set out to give them a machine that feels completely in control on those sites, with a payload and undercarriage that lets them haul more in fewer passes while protecting the jobsite and the machine.”
The PowerForce undercarriage improves operator comfort and performance through adaptive independent suspension, oblong track configuration, and precision track alignment. Automatic track tensioning optimizes performance and extends undercarriage life across all terrain types. The Panther T23r’s advanced dump box and ergonomic cabin design enhance material handling efficiency and operator visibility while reducing fatigue on long shifts. Read more…
